I have been asked by a wolf activist named Mato Woksape to hold a public prayer for the wolves. Utah does not have wolves (at least not officially) and the Dept. of Wildlife Resources has said that any wolves that enter the state will be TRANQUILIZED and REMOVED by helicopter.

The wolves are just trying to come home! They belong here. Let’s show the Utah DWR that we want wolves back in this place. Keystone predators like wolves are vital to the health of natural ecosystems. Wolves represent the wildness that has been squashed for so many years, the wildness that we want to nurture back into being!

We will hold a brief prayer outside the DWR office then deliver the paper copy. This prayer is a non-denominational prayer to whatever spirits, ancestors, or gods you believe in – or if you are an atheist, come to show support for the wolves. Please bring a sign showing your support for the wolves of Utah. Children and families are welcome.
